In recent years, conversations about our carbon footprint and sustainability have become a household topic, and with global warming becoming a very prevalent issue within our society, it’s time for a change.

In December of 2023, The team at Milners decided to look into making our shop a more ethically sustainable place to shop.

 It's important to us that we can try and reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible while still providing a great service and product to our customers.

The paper bags we use on the ground floor are 100% recyclable, as well as the smaller striped gift bags. We use our paper bags as much as possible, however when a plastic bag is more appropriate we have silver bags that are compostable.

We discovered that tissue paper can be a little trickier with regards to sustainability, so we are now moving to use only white tissue paper on the ground floor and for online orders, in order to provide the best chance of it being recycled. The one we have chosen contains recycled material, and it claims to be both recyclable and biodegradable.

When we ship out your orders, we make sure to reuse any packaging we can that we receive from our suppliers, the majority of which are also recyclable!
